Cookie Policy

Only the cookies we need.

DesignDog keeps cookies to the essentials. Here's every one of them and what it does.

Last updated 13 October 2026

THE SHORT VERSION

  • DesignDog only sets the cookies it needs to work, like keeping you signed in.
  • We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
  • If we ever add optional cookies, we'll ask for your consent first where the law requires it.

01

What cookies are

Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar technologies, like local storage, work the same way, so we call them all cookies here.

02

Cookies we use

Essential cookies only. They keep DesignDog secure and working, so they can't be switched off:

  • dd_session: keeps you signed in after you open a magic link or sign in with Google. Lasts up to 30 days, or until you sign out.
  • dd_oauth: protects Google sign-in from forgery while you sign in. Deleted as soon as you finish, and after 10 minutes at most.

Both are first-party, HTTP-only cookies. Scripts on the page can't read them, and they are never shared with advertisers.

03

What we don't use

We don't use advertising, retargeting or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't let ad networks place cookies through DesignDog.

04

Signing in with Google

If you choose to sign in with Google, Google may set its own cookies on its own website. Those are covered by Google's cookie policy, not this one.

05

Managing cookies

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential cookies, you won't be able to stay signed in.

06

Changes to this policy

If we start using other kinds of cookies, we'll update this page first and, where required, ask for your consent.
